The renewal process for a Maryland Wear and Carry Permit is the responsibility of the permit holder and should be initiated at least 90 business days prior to the permit’s expiration date. Timely submission of the renewal application is the permit holder’s responsibility.

To renew your permit, you must complete:
• 8 hours of instruction
• 25-round qualification course
• Shooting from 3, 5, 7, and 15 yards
• Minimum 70% accuracy required

Good news: Fingerprinting is NOT required for renewal.
